this is common issue on a lot of ford trucks .check the exhaust manifolds for cracks/missing or broken bolts or studs .look for rusted bolts/stud that hold the exhaust manifold to the engine and the exhaust pipes to the manifolds ,usually it is a rusted or broken bolt that causes this ticking noise ....jazzmaster ..
