Ranger Sport: 2011 ranger, blowin #20/ 10 amp fuse. this started

2011 ranger, blowin #20/ 10 amp fuse. this started last friday, found fuse replaced it, sat no problem, sun didnt use truck, mon morning started truck fuse blew, replaced it, drove to work ok, left work stopped for smokes left it run, left and when i pulled out and turned it blew, put obd2 on with my bro in law p1703 code, replaced fuse, starte truck this morning all ok, got to work backing in space it blew, replaced it , came home it blew parking truck, NO rhyme or consistency as to when it blows. third brake light bulb bad replaced it, code i know but would quess that would blow every time u step on brake. do have abs, stability controll, and parking brake lights on in dash when it blows, frustrated.

Hello and thanks for choosing just answer. I will say electrical shorts are hard to find over the computer especially. When the vehicle is running and the fuse isn't blown are any warnings on? Abs light airbag light, does the cruise control work?

no warning lights when good fuse and running, only when blown. not sure of cruise control didnt try it. get abs, parking brake, and traction/ stability control indicaters when blown

my owners manual says fuse is for electronic flasher/turn,roll
stability control, abs, spd cont module, bck up lamps, o/d cancel sw.

i lose all turn sigs in and out when blown,yet emerg flashers work, parkin lights ok ,dont know bout rev lights yet gonna check that. dont really use the o/d unless takin a trip on hiway, its blown right now just from parkin when i got home

dont even have 40k mile on this truck, dont hardly ever use cruise cont., bought used , estate sale, only warr. left is drive train. great truck till now lol

If you inspect the wiring do you see any aftermarket woring added at all?

none that i know of, havent really gotten to any thing like that, it was owned by an older man that died and given to a ford dealer to sell for the estate, i have it a yr, first trouble since i own it

gonna put a new fuse in and check to see if the o/d sw , roll cont sw, bk up, parkin ,brk lights etcc trip it, be right back

ok blew the fuse again, wife said the bk up lights blinked slightly, so i watched when she bkd up, the blinked a little and then went out completely. fuse blew again, short in bk up wiring, or bulbs bad? they work with good fuse, so isay good bulbs, could there be somethin in the trans or in the column shorting or just the wiring to the bulb sockets
