Hi I change the tumbler and key on a 2004 ford focus and car won't start can you tell me why or what I might have to do.????

Hello and thanks for using JustAnswer.I will try my best to help you with your question.
Since you replaced the ignition key cylinder and have a new key, you will need to have the key programed to the vehicle. If the new key is different than the old one, you will need two keys and have them both programed to the vehicle because your 2004 Focus has the PATS key security system and the PATS module and the PCM (Engine Computer) need to see the chip in the key to allow it to start.
