My name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.
If the oxygen sensor(s) (depending on how many are installed on this engine) are reading incorrectly this will cause the computer to over fuel the engine like this here.I have seen these as a main cause.
If this has not been checked this should be done and if a fault is found the affected oxygen sensor(s) replaced.
Thanks Pete

Thanks for the info Pete. I have not tried replacing the 02 sensors. (there are two) just ahead of the first cats. we were out of town and will not be working on this problem until tomorrow. Ifthese are matched to the original injectors that could do it right enough.
