Ford f150 4.6: Finding hard to believe we have a bad engine

Customer Question

Finding hard to believe we have a bad engine on our 2009 F150 4.6, have code p0012 - replaced cam sensor (for kicks replaced both sensors) - then replaced Timing Chain, tensioners... it was pretty sloppy & the phaser gear chewed up a bit - 110K Miles, not really making noise - no real sludge issues found, runs pretty good - used to code up instantly, now takes a bit before coding up, some say it is the engine... just do not want to condemn it, just runs too good

Does it only run rough and set the code once it gets really warmed up?
