Kia Forte EX 2014: what is the function of the 2014 Kia Forte

This answer was rated:

what is the function of the 2014 Kia Forte button that brings up a menu and says traction control "off"?
Hi. If you have your owners manual there may be some good information on page 5-29 on how the traction control works. Essentially it appears there are 2 modes. The first mode, is when you turn the traction control off (with the button) it will remain off until you turn it back on or turn off the car and restart it. The second mode completely disables traction control if you hold down the button for 3 or more seconds. I would suggest you try to hold down the traction control button for 3 or more seconds and see if it will return you to "NORMAL" operating mode, where traction control is on all the time, unless you turn it off with the button. If this explanation and the owners manual don't get you anywhere please reply so we can try to figure this out. Thanks, Eric
