I have a 2005 freestyle. Today a took it for a drive and everything worked fine. After turning the car off for a few minutes, I tried to restart it and nothing happened. There was a clicking sound behind the fuse box area. Nothing on the car works, no power locks no lights and I can't shift it out of park. Along with the clicking sound, the needles on the gauges twitch. I disconnected the battery and the problem remained. I checked the fuses and from what I can tell, they all seem fine. Do you have any idea what may be the problem.

Hi, I’m Chris. Welcome and thanks for asking your question!
Right now I believe the battery has finally failed and no longer has enough amps to power the car nor start it. All of your symptoms are pointing to the battery at fault. I suggest step one be checking the battery connections for corrosion, then try a jump start. If you have a volt meter, you can check the voltage. A good battery has 12.6 volts. Let me know the outcome in case we need to continue checking the electrical circuit.
