Hello, I know what you mean about not being able to reach.. It is difficult but it can be done. Can you take a flash light and look at the outside door handle through the service panel (inside door panel) and tell if the rod is still attached to the door latch mechanism? It attaches to the door handle and to the latch with a plastic locking pin. Chances are one of them has come off or is broken. You can look at the driver side to see how it goes on if you need a reference.

I took the inside door panel off & removed the plastic film covering the inspection opening. But the flashlight beam only illuminates a small part of the mechanism. I have mechanical aptitude and if I could see the complete mechanism I could see whats wrong. The problem is I cannot get to the unit to fix it. Any sugestions ?

Hello, I noticed you where not completely satisfied and I do want to continue to work with you to complete the job... Is there anything I can do to change your rating from so so to excellent? I do have a friend with a manual for your vehicle and was expecting some information from him tomorrow. Can I get that information to you and take care of the situation?

Thank you in advance for your consideration,

Brad

Ok, according to this information, make sure the window is all the way up, the outer door handle is removed by either unbolting or drilling out the pop rivets on the outside of the door under the handle, reach your hand inside the door and release the plastic clip from the latch mechanism, and remove the door handle. If the rod is off the topped, reinstall it out side of the door and put it back in. If one of the clips is broken, the dealer should have them. Reattach the handle with machine head bolts and nuts. .. let me know if you need clarification and I'll try and get some pictures or something....
