i have a 93 xr8 and this afternoon i started it moved about 20 metres and it died .the battery light is on however there isw plenty of juice in the battery and it turns the engine over with no proplems .but it seems like there no spark was wondering if it was the alternater or may be a fuel prolblem as it just died
Optional Information: Make: Ford Model: falcon xr8 Year: 1993 Already Tried: checked fuses and relays ,tapped the alternater
Hello, If the battery is up but the car has a hard time running and the battery light is on, then yes I would have the alt tested. Chances are it is bad

ive had bad alternaters before and they usually dont just die like that as there was no warning at all .i hadnt been driving around with the battery light going and it was running fine.which makes me wonder if it could be the electronic timeing or something along those lines .however thankyou for your answer and i will get the alt tested today and if you have any other thoughts on what it could be plaese let me know .

hi brad i have my car at the mechanics and sorry you are along way off the correct answer it turns out that there is no injector pluse and that goes back to the main computer .so im sorry if i didnt give you enough information but i had no idea what it could be at the time and all i could tell you is what had happened so i will not accept your answer but thankyou for your effort and if i ever need more answers i would be happy to ask you and if its correct be more than happy to pay you
