I have a 1982 ford 302 that I am putting back together after rebuild, and I have a valve lash setting question, it has that 5/16 bolts, not studs, to hold the rocker arms on, I know how to set the valve lash correctly, problem is that after I set them even after priming the motor with oil, I can turn the some rocker bolts by hand, afraid that they will come lose after running the motor, should I use Loctite, or replace the bolts or???? Thanks Adam

Hello! Welcome to justanswer! The lash is set by the pedestal. Theres no adjustment. All you do is tighten the bolt down slowly to 35 ft pounds. Do it by hand.

Thank you very much , saved me pulling my hair out over this!!!!!!!
No problem. The whole trick is to tighten the bolts slowly and be sure the bolt holes have no oil or dirt in them. So start over and blow out each hole.
