2002 taurus: with a code 442 small leak..smoke test

Resolved Question:

I just bought a new evap smoke machine to test evap leaks, I a 2002 taurus with a code 442 small leak. Is there any special procedure I have to go through to run the smoke test? Or can I just hook is up to the evap port and start smoking it. I know sometimes you have to open or close cannister purge valves and such. Just wondering
