2006 Ford Van

Need to know where to find the vacuum check valve, have been told it's under the hood, but I need more specifics, as in where under the hood, or is it under the dash on the passenger's side.

A diagram would be helpful.

Yes, we are having problems with the a/c. On acceleration, everything blows through the defrost vents.

The vacuum check valve and resivior are located inside the evaporator housing on the passenger side and unfortunately its not easy to access as the evaporator housing has to be removed to get at it. This is not an easy job and you may want to consider having it professionaly done. See the enclosed instructions.

Any ideas on the labor time involved in this type of job? Is this common with this model?

The labor to remove the evaporator housing runs about 3 hours and add another .3 to replace the check valve .
