my 2005 ford 500 radio will not work, I can set the clock, I can load and unload CDs but there is no radio functions and no sound

You need to complete THIS FORD TEST. You need to start on step 3 and finish on step 6. This will tell you if the radio is bad or if the parking aid module is faulty. If you need help with these tests, let me know.

The problem is not sound, the problem is the radio will not come on. there is power to the unit but there is not anything on the display, unless you press menu and then you get the time, or if you load or unload the CD player. other than thoses times there is noth
Thanks for replying, sorry I misunderstood. You need THIS TEST. The parking aid is no longer a suspect and 98% likely the test is going to result in you needing a new radio.
