Hello I'm Chris

When you say 2 cycles past a oil and filter change are you talking about the engine or trans?

Have you hooked up a scan tool to see which codes are stored?

Current miles?

Customer replied 331 days and 1 hours ago.

transmission, B1676 is the only code showing. Currently 80k miles

Have you checked the trans fluid level while at operating temp in park to see if its low?

The code is not for the engine or trans, were you using a scan tool that can access these modules to check for codes in the them?

Customer replied 331 days and 1 hours ago.

I did check the fluid level and it was full. I got an ActronCP9580 yesterday, i wouldn't say I'm proficient with it yet.

Try and get codes again with the car running and when not running. See if you see anything saying codes from the PCM or TCM. Check this and reply back to me?

Customer replied 331 days ago.

The wrench light doesn't come on til you hit that first shift point and stays on untill the engine is turned off, I'll try to get that data

Nope all I'm getting is B1676 battery pack Voltage. I had this symptom on a 90Jeep turned out to be the throttle position sensor

Even though I do not have enough proof at this point to 100% verify, but your symptoms are very similar to your Jeep except on this model vehicle it would be the electronic throttle body to blame. It can malfunction and effect shifts and throttle response and meaning other things when its in failure mode effects management strategy. I would prefer you try another scan tool like a free scan at a parts store, possibly while the light is still on to see if you get ETB codes like 2104. If you do then the ETB should be replaced while the battery is disconnected.

Thanks for pressing accept. Please reply and let me know if this is what you needs, also do the same if its not.

Chris
