Ford shows to remove the Steering Wheel, but Switch should be able to be removed without Steering Wheel removal

Here is Ford procedures

Disable Air Bag

  • Turn all vehicle accessories OFF.
  • Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  • At the central junction box (CJB), located on the LH end of the instrument panel, open the kick panel cover and remove the restraints control module (RCM) fuse F2.6 (7.5A without rear blower, 15A with rear blower) from the CJB.
