what scan tool did you use?
do you have a multi meter?
Snap-On Motis Yes Fluke
I see f2-115 , f2 -20, f2-11.(f2-15 for cluster and trac switch)
make sure the dlc works for other modules like PCM. we need to check for power at the 4x4 module. pins 17 DG/LG and 8 DB should have battery voltage
you can check the ground next pins 2 and 1 BK/LB and BK to 300 ,301 less than 5 ohms
next we should check the data line pin 3 dlc to pin 4 at the 4x4 module VT wire
less than 5 ohms.
I will look for bulletins
let me know what you find
Where is this module located and if i dont have power and ground at these location what is the problem where does the power come from
module is behind the b pillar(where the drivers seat belt strap anchor is)
in between drivers front and rear seats on b pillar.
power comes from Central junction box(CJB) 115 and 20
if you have power to the fuse and no power out at either wire at the 4x4 module we have an open.
if we have power, grounds are good and the data line is good we have a bad 4x4 module. We load test the circuits to make sure no excessive resistance. Make sure circuit is disconnected at component ends and run power through it,I use a headlight bulb for the load. If there is heavy resistance the bulb will not light or barely.
