  1. Get a dull kitchen knife and slide it between the glass and outer door skin.
  2. Pry the opening up enough to get a wooden spoon in to make a larger gap.
  3. Get your gap as close to the exterior door handle as possible
  4. Get a coat hanger and straighten it out
  5. Now bend the coat hanger so that its the shape of a V.
  6. You want one side of the V to only be 6 inches long
  7. You want the spacing between the top of the 6 inch side to be about 1.5 inches away from the other side, so a really tight V.
  8. Now push the bottom of the V down the gap you made.
  9. Now go in deep enough so the short section is below the bottom of the glass, you can feel the bottom of the glass by turning the hanger a little as you push it in.
  10. Once below the glass, turn the hanger 90 degrees, so the 6 inch side is under the lock knob.
  11. Feel around while watching the lock knob for movement
  12. When you think your directly under the knob just pull up on the coat hanger.
