The lash adjusters are hydraulic and are not adjustable.

if there not adjustable , how tight do you do the rocker arm bolts? This is not what the manual says. it a haynes manual. I know that on other fords you tightened the bolt until the clicking stopped thin tighting them another 3/4 turns. So what is the prcedure in adjusting the lifters? Sorry I didn't get back sooner haD FAMILY come in from out of town. Please let me know the prcedure.

Rocker arm bolts. Tighten to 17–22 ft. lbs.

That is a vin P engine. The lash adjusters are hydraulic and are not adjustable. On the vin 3, 5 and N engines there is an adjustment and you change shims.
