There are many concerns that can cause the stop and pull safely light on. There are many known concerns with they hybrid from 05
in order to diag the concern you need to have the codes pulled from the computer to see what is causing the problem
well the shop only seen that one thing wrong with it
it was put on the diag
I would strongly recommend you have someone pull the codes from the computer to find what is causing the concern
some of the known issues is the electric water pump goes bad
there is a vent acuater in the back that controls the cooling of the battery that goes bad
the check eng light come on the first time and now it is not coming on
or there could be other issues cause this concern but the place to start is to take it to someone that has a special test equipment to pull the codes
i took it the frist time and they pulled the codes and that is the only thing it showed
do you know how much it will cost for that

i took it to the the shop and they hook it up to the dig. and it said that it was my motor electronics cooling system and had that fixes and now ti is doing it agian
sounds like the electric fuel pump
did they replace it?
they put new thermastat
wow that was a misstep sounds like the electric fuel pump is not working
how would i know if it want read the codes

the ford shop is about 70 miles from me that works on hybrids
at this point you can only guess and replace parts without a code

Some 2005-2008 Escape Hybrid and 2006-2008 Mariner Hybrid vehicles may exhibit an intermittent Red Triangle on and Stop Safely Now message displayed on the message center, accompanied by a sudden RPM loss/no start with a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P1A0C. Vehicles may exhibit this symptom on the first start of the morning or after an extended idle. The symptom will clear on the next key cycle.
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
Using the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) scan tool:
Some 2005-2007 Escape Hybrid vehicles built from 10/13/2003 to 12/19/2006 and Mariner Hybrid vehicles built from 6/10/2005 to 10/11/2006 may have a red triangle illuminated on the cluster accompanied by an audible chime. In addition, the message center will indicate Stop Safely Now and the Powertrain Control Module will command the vehicle to shut down. Diagnostic trouble code P0A27 for Hybrid Battery Power Off Circuit will also be present.
This service procedure replaces Customer Satisfaction Program 07B48, which expired on 8/22/2009. Check the vehicle's repair history to determine if a 14A303 service harness has already been installed under 07B48. Do not install a second 14A303 service harness in series with a 14A303 that has been previously installed under the Customer Satisfaction Program.
Install a service harness in the High Voltage Traction Battery (HVTB), and reprogram the Battery Control Module (BCM), to eliminate the circuit that is susceptible to setting a false DTC.
Follow the installation instructions provided in the kit to install the service harness and reprogram the BCM.

Some 2005-2008 Escape Hybrid and Mariner Hybrid vehicles may set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0A81 (Battery Pack Cooling Fan 1 Control Circuit) and/or P0A96 (Battery Pack Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit) in the traction battery control module (TBCM). These codes by themselves normally do not result in any symptoms that are noticeable to the customer. DTCs P0A81/P0A96 are typically found when diagnosing other driveability concerns that result in additional DTCs.
Replace both high voltage traction battery (HVTB) cooling fans. Follow the instruction sheet included with the kit and only one (1) kit is needed per vehicle.

Some 2005-2008 Escape Hybrid and 2006-2008 Mariner Hybrid vehicles may exhibit a red triangle light and codes indicating a transaxle overtemp. This condition may result in reduced power as the system activates fail safe operation. Codes P1A0E, P1A0F, P0A3C, P0A3E, P0A7A, P0A7C and P1A0D may also be set.

Some 2005-2008 Escape Hybrid and 2006-2008 Mariner Hybrid vehicles may exhibit an MIL on with a DTC U2062 in the brake system control module, part of the hydraulic control unit (HCU).
Diagnose and fix any other DTC's before performing this TSB for DTC U2062. If the DTC U2062 is present alone or after diagnosing other DTC's perform this Service Procedure.
Some 2005-2008 Escape Hybrid and 2006-2008 Mariner Hybrid vehicles may exhibit a wrench light on with DTC B1239. This may or may not be accompanied by driveability symptoms including reduced power.
