Optional Information: Year : 2002 Make : Ford Model: escape Engine: 3.0 v6 Already Tried: took it to the dealer; they say they have to pull the engine
Hello and Welcome to Justanswer, My name is XXXXX XXXXX X am here to try and assist your with your question. Are they pulling the engine in order to acces the broken bolts in the head?
the work has not proceeded I stopped them as I do not believe they have to pull the engine to perform the replacement of the bolts
Depending how much room they have to work with they might have to, if they don't then the book calls for 2.1 hours to remove the manifold and you can expect about 2 hours to drill them out. If the engine has to come out then add another 9,8 hours to remove and reinstall it.
if they have to pull the engine, would you estimate total hours as between 12 & 13?
Yes thats a pretty good ball park, the engine only calls for 9.8 .
