The TAC system is in the failure mode effects management (FMEM) mode of forced limited power. This DTC indicates the FMEM action is in effect due to a concern in an electronic throttle control (ETC) related component or module.

Diagnostic Aids
This DTC is an informational DTC and may be set in combination with a number of other DTCs which are causing the FMEM. Diagnose other DTCs first.

Internal Control Module Torque Calculation Performance
















Description
Indicates a calculation error occurred in the powertrain control module (PCM).

Possible Causes
  • Unplugged motor, circuits shorted to voltage

  • TAC motor open, unplugged motor, circuits shorted to voltage

  • TAC motor stuck open or closed

  • Mass air flow (MAF) sensor concern

  • Throttle position (TP) sensor concern

  • Output shaft speed (OSS) sensor concern

  • Turbine shaft speed (TSS) sensor concern

  • Anti-lock brake system (ABS) concern

  • PCM damaged

  • Diagnostic Aids
    Check for sensor and circuit related DTCs.

    I had the codes read by Advance Auto last night and the young man must be new or usinf out-of-date codes as he said he had never seen these codes before. I need to get this vehicle back right as I am losing fuel mileage as well as the agravation my wife has as she does 90% of the driving. Thanks!!
