what does a tune up on a ford five hundred consist of,and is ther an easy way,or secret, to remove the intake to access the rear plugs?

A tune up consist of replacing the spark plugs.
There is no real secret to removing the upper intake manifold. You actually do not have to completely remove it. You only have to unbolt it and unplug the sensors plus disconnect the EGR to exhaust manifold tube to position the intake away from the rear plugs to gain access to them.

is it typical to pay $350 to change spark plugs?
It's a little high. We charge $300 for a 6 cylinder tune up.
