F150: 2002 Lariat, 4.6 engine..engine shut down..restart..electrical

F150, 2002 Lariat, 4.6 engine. after engine shut down coud not restart engine, no electrical, battery correcvt for truck, six months old. heatd popp from front left engine comparterment, could it be relay bad or fuse blown?? Thanks, Walter

Is everything dead in the cab such as head lights and the gages?

Do you have a full 12 volts at the battery when this happens?

Battery six months old, the engine under hood light is on, almost like the ground is bad
