Hello, here is a picture of the fuse layout. Fuse #2.17 is the fuse for the running and tail lights.
What else does not work? Thanks
the over head fuel unit, temp and direction
the over head fuel, direction , mileage unit
the over head unit for mileage, fuel
I am looking over the diagram to see if there is a common point to inspect.
Do you have a test light to check to see if fuse 2.17 has power to it at all times?
my husband is checking the fuse
yes the fuse has juice to it
what about the relay module under the hood
The tail lights do not go through a relay. The relay is for the trailer lights. Here is a diagram of the lights. the park lights power through fuse 2.17, then it goes to the light switch, then to the lights. The reason I asked, is that these models of trucks have a known issue with melting the light switch and wire connector at the switch causing loss of tail lights. have you inspected the light switch for damage?
This is the ssecond half of the other diagram for the switch.
ok, let me know if you need any further assistance on this issue. Thanks
