put the key in position just before run and you will be able to get into gear

do you have a center shifter?

no

right before run place the key and you will be able to shift it

I don't understand "right before run"

turn the key one notch

but do not put it into the run position

the run position is when all the lights come on on the dash

If you cannot get it out of gear check the brake lights

anotherwards, before the car turns on?

could the gadget under the brake pedal be the problem, last year we had a problem with the brake lights not going off and somethng under the brake pedal was the problem.

yes it is called a brake light switch

one more question, is there any possibility the problem is with a fuse?

Steve :

the switch could be bad or the wire broken at the switch connector

could be a fuse
