Hello, I'm Chris.
I will do my best to answer your question fast and accurate using the info you have provided. Thanks for visiting Just Answer.

We need to first off verify its a security system concern by turning the key to the run position to see if the theft light flashes at a rapid pace or not?

Also turn on the headlights and verify there bright?

Customer replied 830 days and 13 hours ago.

I accept. the theft light does flash at a rapid pace. Yesterday the instrument cluster wasn't working and it wouldnt start. This moring the instrument cluster was working and it started, once. The next time and ever since, the car wont start. Lights are bright and in fact have a brand new AAA battery as of this morning. It's been extremely cold and the car has had condensation inside the past couple nights.

Your going to need a ford scan tool to repair this since your either having a failing instrument cluster concern which controls the passive anti theft system or the transceiver is bad or the key has lost its programming. At the least the keys will have to be reprogrammed prior to it starting. Here is a download of info on how this system works, click <<HERE>>
