2005 F150: 5.4L..engine light came..truck wouldnt start..fuel pump

2005 F150 5.4L V8
check engine light came on 6 months ago. a couple weeks later the truck wouldn't start. fuel pump wasn't running.
replaced the fuel pump. fuel pump didn't run. check the ground and it was bad. put a new ground in directly to frame. truck ran, cleared the check engine code, light came back on after a couple miles. fast forward to last week....truck won't start. pump isn't running.
replace fuel rail pressure sensor. still nothing. any ideas?

Hello there!

Does the check engine light come on with the key in the on position?

Does it go off while cranking the engine over?

Have you checked power to the fuel pump when turning the key on and cranking the engine over?

goes out while cranking.


I replaced the fuel pressure driver module.


still not starting.


now i get an error code p1237

P1237 Fuel Pump Secondary Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes
* FP power (12v) circuit is open or shorted
* FPDM return circuit to the fuel pump is open
* Fuel pump circuit is open or shorted
* Fuel pump rotor is locked
* FPDM has failed
