2005 ford escape/ 4 cyl One of the door sensors seems to be malfunctioning. The interior dome light stays on even when all the doors, hood, liftgate, and glass have been securely closed. The result is the alarm system keeps activating. How easy or expensive is the resolution?

Hello and welcome to justanswer.com
It does sound like a faulty door ajar switch inside the latch. We use our Ford scan tool to monitor all the door switches and the alarm activations so diagnosing it is not that difficult. Since you do not have this scan tool try spraying WD40 inside each door latch then open/close the doors as this sometimes will free up a sticking switch.
