1998 ford escort plastic gear to the speed sensor fell into the transmission and i cant get it out? can i just leave it there?

a vacuum 3 prong tweezers and i took the transmission pan off.

is it on the drive of the other gear in the trand?

do you have needl nose pliers?

can you get the speed sensor back in and the gear go on the speed sensor?

ya i do but it the gear fell all the way down

then you need to remove it can you see it with the pan off?

no

can you sww it in the sensor hole?

or can you see it at all?

this is a definate pickle you are in

you can take your chances or remove the trans and tear it down to get it

are you there?

Steve :

there is another possibilty if you are interastead

you can remove #8 without removing the trans

Steve :

remove the drivers tire and you can access #8 and it may get you to the drive
