Trouble code PO320 ignition/Dist.

Customer Question

trouble code PO320 ignition/Dist. engine speed input circuit

This p-code is pointing to an intermittant fault in the Crnakshaft Position Sensor. It's a fairly straight forward code. Check for loose connections in the electrical connector. Check for broken or damaged wires in the wire harness to the sensor. If the visiual check is good, suspect a faulty Crankshaft Position Sensor.

The vehicle is broke down by side of road, waiting to check. Cannot check your answer at this time.

If it is broke down, and will not start with the P0320 - more than likely, it is due to lack of spark. When the Crank Sensor is faulty, it will not allow the vehicle to send spark. This symptom, along with the P0320 is a good sign that the sensor is faulty.
