Steve W :

Hello my name isXXXXX are you replacing the injectors?

Customer:

i was going to possibly replace #1 injector.

Steve W :

Is the engine torn down now?

Steve W :

Do you want instructions or just questions answered?

Customer:

i need answer on reason for difference in injector tests and help on tube stuck in manifoid. i am master trk tech. just a little unfamiliar with 6.0.

Steve W :

Ok, is the engine still assembled?

Customer:

just have rt valve cover removed & oil manifold partially removed.

Steve W :

Ok, more than likely the reason the injector #1 was misfiring is because either the orings are partially gone, burned or melted, or the injector is stuck open partially causing combustion gas to enter fuel supply causing the rest of the injectors on that bank to start misfiring. You can remove the secondary fuel filter and turn key on and fill the housing to the top, turn key back off, disconnect large single connector for starter over by passenger battery and power starter and crank engine over and look for bubbles in fuel housing, if there is, you can install a balloon or latex finger off a glove over the fuel supply lines going to each head and see which side is causing the combustion gas concern.

Steve W :

More than likely #1 is your concern, Ford recommends replacing all injectors on one bank if there is combustions gas entering the fuel system.

Steve W :

Injectors on the bank that has the combustion gas.

Steve W :

The oil tube is a split design, you can remove the hex top part, then remove the oil rail, then remove the rest if needed.

Customer:

could the bottom section fall down into engine?

Steve W :

No, I will give you some info that we use, the combustion gas tests are near the end.
