Ford F-150 XLT how to disable alarm

Resolved Question:

how to disable alarm

Sounds like Aftermarket & Brand & Model Number is XXXXX

Typically the Valet Switch works like this

Turn Key On
Press & hold Valet Button until the LED goes Out or stays On solid

Turn Key off

If the LED is blinking, that means the Alarm is still functional

I just tried your advice - However the LED is off when I enter the truck - so I am unable to see any change. I did hear a "tone" after pushing in the valet button so I turned the truck to off. I exited the truck - locked it by pushing down the button - after 30 seconds the LED began blinking again?

Thanks for the update.............

As stated above, if Aftermarket, Brand & Model Number is XXXXX

There are so many different ways to switch to Valet
I just gave you the most common

If this is Factory Ford, let me know

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Yes - It is factory Ford and they once told me how to do this - it worked - but I have forgotten the steps. I have no idea how to locate brand and model number - on my original wiondow sticker it just says "remote keyless entry"
Expert:  Lurch replied 6 years ago.

This has to be Dealer Installed or Aftermarket, as the Factory Alarm / Keyless Entry does not permit you to Disable the Alarm & only use Keyless Entry

Will need Brand & Model number to help further
You may want to contact the Dealer again if you need info right away

Will OPT OUT & relist this question again
Perhaps someone else can help without the info............

If Refund is needed, please contact Service in the HELP section on your page

As stated there are many different methods & types
Here is Ford SecuriLock
The switch under dash is for Programming\\

See if this works

To engage the Valet mode, turn the ignition key to the ON or RUN position and

press the Lock & Unlock buttons together on the remote control transmitter.

The system will begin flashing the dash mounted status indicator in a double-flash

pattern indicating that the system is in Service mode.

To return the system to its normal operating mode, turn the ignition key to the ON or RUN position and press the and buttons on the PowerCode remote control

transmitter again. The status indicator will shut off, indicating that the system is in now

in its normal operating mode.

Important Note: When taking your vehicle in for service it recommended that you
