2000 ford taurus: whining sound..wheel back..a ball joint, so he

Resolved Question:

my 2000 ford taurus makes a whining sound when turning the wheel back and forth, I took it to a mechanic and he said it was a ball joint, so he replaced the left one and said when it started again on the right side to have the right ball joint replaced. The noise was stopped but started again on the right so I had the right replaced. The noise returned one week after having the right side done. I doubt its power steering cause the pump is full, any ideas?

i would then verify that the mechanic greased the new ball joints...I would also look at the strut tops The mounts...If the bearings are noisey or seized they will make lots of noise
