Escape: popped..likely need to get the VCT solenoid replaced..warranty

This answer was rated:

My wife's Escape just popped the codes P0012 and P0022...according to this site we more than likely need to get the VCT solenoid replaced. Her car is at 37k miles so we're out of warranty. What are we looking at cost wise to repair this problem? It was made 09/08 and the VIN is 1FMCU94G99KA49854

Hi JACUSTOMER-wtobi4bq-. Thank you for asking your question on JustAnswer.

What year is the Escape? Can I have the VIN number? It might have powertrain coverage.

This repair will be covered by the vehicles powertrain warranty. This vehicle came with 5 year 60k powertrain coverage. Also be sure and have the 10B15 transmission recall done asap so the transmission does not strand your wife on the road.
