Fuel pressure is tested with installing a fuel pressure guage to the fuel rail service port.

Customer:

how do u take off the scharders service valve

Ron :

You do not take the valve off, the guage screws on to it.

Ron :

The fuel guage screws onto the valve.

Customer:

i cant find the fuel rail service port

Customer:

do i have to take any thing off to get to it

Ron :

The port is on the fuel rail on the opposite side as the pressure sensor. Just like in the diagram. A scan tool that can read the data stream will also give you a pressure reading.

Customer:

is there a sliver cap on it

Customer:

that is hard to get off

Ron :

In nost cases it a black plastic cap just like a valve stem.

Customer:

what should the press be

Ron :

You need to see 35 to 70 PSI.
