Resolved Question:

Codes po284 and po611 both showed up, loss of power, black smoke. It says number 8 cylinder injector failure then part two of message states ficm failure. Should I replace a) injector 8, b) wiring harness, c) ficm or any suggestions you may have

You can swap injector with another cylinder to see if problem moves if so replace, if not check wiring. If wiring is good replace the ficm.

Replaced wiring injectors is s huge job so injector first then ficm?

To know for sure where the problem is swap the injector to see if problem moves. If not you will need to do a resistance test on wiring between injector and ficm to see if the wiring is the problem or the ficm is the problem.
