2001 ford taurus both the electric trunk latch and trunk light stoped at the same time

Hi my name is XXXXX XXXXX first thing we need to check is the fuse the same fuse controls both. it is F226 in the interior fuse panel ( 10 amp) the fuse panel is under the dash on the drivers side
cant find 226 checked #26 its ok
did you look under the hood or under the dash
just to the left of steering colum
ok if the fuse is ok the solenoid in the truck has gone bad and will have to be replaced
just checked i have power to both electrical connecters where is solenoid located
it is part of the latch on the trunk lid. also check the bulb in the trunk
