Hi,

 

below are directions:

 

Removal & Installation



  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  3. Remove the two retaining screws and the crankshaft pulley shield.
  4. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
  5. Remove the engine plug bolt.

  6. Turn the crankshaft pulley bolt to position the number one cylinder at top dead center, and install the special tool into the engine plug bolt bore.

  7. Remove the CKP sensor retaining bolts and the sensor.
  8. Install and hand-tighten a 6 mm x 18 mm standard bolt into the crankshaft damper to hold its position.

 

To install:


NOTE Whenever the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor is removed, a new one must be installed using the alignment tool supplied with the new part.

  1. Install a new CKP sensor, but do not tighten the bolts at this time.
    NOTE The crankshaft position (CKP) sensor alignment tool is supplied with the new sensor and is not available separately.
  2. Adjust the CKP sensor with the alignment tool and tighten the bolts.

  3. Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
  4. Remove the holding bolt from the crankshaft damper.
  5. Remove the special tool from the engine plug bolt bore.
  6. Install the engine plug bolt and tighten to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).
  7. Install the crankshaft pulley shield.
