Ford explorer: I change the front wheel bearing..four wheel drive

This answer was rated:

How do I change the front wheel bearing on a ford explorer four wheel drive 1999

HiCustomer Thank you for asking your question on JustAnswer.

The front wheel bearing is integral to the front wheel hub and is not serviced separately. To replace the bearing, the hub needs to be replaced as an assembly. The nut that retains the axle shaft to the hub is a 32MM. They are not too difficult to change, sometimes th hub gets corroded to the steering knuckle and needs to be removed with a hammer or a puller.
