This vehicle has a timing chain. The chaces of the chain breaking while driving is slim to none. This chain has no service interval, and is replaced on a "need-to" basis, which is few and far between.
It isn't really common practice to "check" the timing chain. Like I say, it's just about as solid as a rock. If by some odd chance it does happen to "fail", it will "jump time" and you will notice a huge difference in the way the vehicle runs. The odds that it will need changing are slim.
