Hello,

The problem you are having is either a loose connector at the multifunction switch (turn signal/wiper switch). The connector to look at is the upper connector on the back of the switch. Make sure the wires have not pulled out and the connector is fully seated in the back of the switch. You will have to remove the steering column trim panels to get to the back of the switch.

thanks alot that was it

Your very welcome. Ford still sells the hard shell plastic connector without the wires if it is broken or the wires will not stay in the connector.

the hazards work but the brake lights dont or the turn signals

Make sure all the wires are seated in the connector. The most common cause is the wires pull out of the connector, especially on tilt steering columns. Pull on the wires one at a time and make sure they are tight in the connector. The brake lights go from the brake light switch on the brake pedal up through the multifunction switch to the brake lights.
