You need to use a side to side twisting motion as you pull upwards on coil to remove it from the spark plug. The coil boot sometimes doesnt want to come of the plug easily and does require some upward force to get it off the plug, and I have found turning clockwise and counterclockwise as I pull upwards on it the best method to remove the coil from the plugs. Also make sure you have disconnected the harness connector to it and removed the retaining bolt to each coil
