Customer Question

I have a 2000 ford f150 4.2l v6 with a P0720 code (output speed sensor circuit malfunction). My Haynes repair manual does not cover this. Where is this sensor and how do I replace it if it isn't a simple switch-out. I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

The OSS is mounted on the top rear of the transmission and has one connector and one bolt to remove it. I believe the bolt is a 8mm. Twist the sensor back and forth to remove it then replace it.
