was there another type of 4.6L other than the vin:w from 1991-1999 Ford
Optional Information: Year : 2001Make : FordModel: F-150Engine: 4.6 L Already Tried: Engine is blown up in truck and have bought engine supposedly out of 1993 crown vic. hoping is right engine. truck has 4.6L vin:w i think thats all they made until 1999

Yes there were 2 different 4.6L motors built. A windsor and a romeo and both are different motors event hough they are the same size.

Do you know the casting number off of the engine you would like to install?
where is the casting number
There should be a steel tag on the side of the block
