How to replace blower motor on 1993 ford f-150 with 5.

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
  2. On California models, remove emission module forward of blower.
  3. On all models, disconnect blower motor electrical connector.
  4. On 1989-93 models, remove electrical connector from blower motor resistor.
  1. On 1989-93 models, remove nut (located in passenger compartment to the right of heater core access cover) from bottom of plenum assembly. Remove bolt from heater blower assembly in engine compartment.
  2. On models equipped with air conditioning, disconnect air cooling tube from blower motor.
  3. On all models, remove blower motor attaching screws and the blower motor, Figs. 12 and 13.
  4. Reverse procedure to install.
