My temp gauge is reading hot but engine is not overheating. Could this be a bad sensor?

HiCustomer

Thank you for asking your question on JustAnswer.

Yes if you sure the engine isnt overheating , then its very likely a bad temp sensor. Your 2004 uses a Cylinder Head temp sensor. The temp sensor is under the intake manifold and has to be remove to access it .
