changing the transmission fluid and filter on a 2006 f150 and when i take the pan off there is a yellow piece in the pan??? any idea what this is
HiCustomerthis is lostrider, you can discard that plug, its a shipping plug that is installed in the short portion of the dipstick tube when the transmission is shipped to the assembly plant, they take the long portion of and just install it and that pushes the plug into the oil pan.hope this helps.
