alining the timing marks 5.4L f-150?

The timing marks are easy to line up with a little patience. Take the timing chains and place them on a flat table. Stretch them out till you have on link on one end and 2 links on the other end. Like the picture below. The mark the 3 links with paint so you will be able to locate them.
Take the tensioners and the chains guides off the engine. Then turn the crankshaft with the timing gear attached till the DOT on the gear is at the bottom.
The single link will line up on the DOT and the two links together will line up on the cam phasers on the camshafts.
The drivers side cam haser timing mark should look like this above.
The passenger side will look like the picture below.
Do the drivers side first then install the chain guides and the chain tensioners and make sure the timing chains and marks line up. Then do the passenger side.
