i have a ford f150 1998 4.6L 4x4. the engine light is on. i bought a actron scan tool and it teels me the #2 sensor is bad on the bank 2 side thats the passanger side from what i understand.but also on my scan tool it says catalyst mon. ( inc.) on line they say i might need a new this the problem? if so after installing new coverter should i clear codes? passanger side bank 2.sensor 1 closest to engine sensor 2 after converter?? converter looks very old i replaced the otherside 3 yrs ago.(drives)..i miss good old trucks and cars i had yrs. ago.. a tuneup in my driveway and i was good to go.308's and in line 6's...Man those were the days...thanks for your time .......Mike.....

If the code doesnt say "Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold" it very well may be just a bad O2 sensor located on the driver's side, behind the Cat:
