6.0 turbo diesel
Expert:  fordman312009 replied 5 years ago.
whats been replaced ? and how many miles ?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
so far theres been 2 sets of heads, seems the gaskets keep blowing, 1 turbo, egr sensers and cooler twice, as well as the computer once and all other sensors that need to be replaced when a head gasket blows, as well as the injectors, seems they keep failing too. theres 70k miles currnetly. the last time i took it in they put on a new set of head gaskets and sensors but they told me the problem was the mass air flow sensor. it ran good for about a day before surging again. i then bought a new mass air flow sensor and put it in and reset the comp. and it ran crummy just as it did before.
Expert:  fordman312009 replied 5 years ago.
egr valves are bad about surges and so are the ebp sensors whats your vin number and i will run it through the ford computer and send you some info on your truck ok

SOME 6.0L AND 4.5L DIESEL EQUIPPED VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE VARIOUS DRIVEABILITY SYMPTOMS AFTER OIL COOLER SERVICE. THIS MAY BE THE RESULT OF THE IPR BECOMING CONTAMINATED AND BEING UNABLE TO CONTROL ICP PROPERLY. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO COMPLETELY CLEAN OFF ALL OIL AND DEBRIS PRIOR TO OIL COOLER COVER REMOVAL AND TO INSPECT THE OIL PUMP INLET STRAINER SCREEN FOR DAMAGE PRIOR TO OIL COOLER REPLACEMENT. IF THE SCREEN IS DAMAGED, IT MUST BE REPLACED. THE RESERVOIR MUST BE COMPLETELY CLEANED TO ENSURE THERE IS NO CONTAMINATION TO THE HIGH PRESSURE OIL SYSTEM FROM DEBRIS ENTERING THE OIL DURING OIL COOLER REPLACEMENT. AFTER CLEANING, PRE-FILLING THE RESERVOIR WITH CLEAN OIL WILL HELP PREVENT EXTENDED CRANK TIME FROM AIR ENTERING THE HIGH PRESSURE OIL SYSTEM UPON ASSEMBLY.

2005 - 2007 SUPER DUTY F-SERIES WITH A 6.0L DIESEL ENGINE - BUCK/JERK WHEN PULLING LARGE/HEAVY GOOSE NECK TRAILERS
SOME 2005-2007 SUPER DUTY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 6.0L DIESEL ENGINE MAY EXHIBIT A BUCK/JERK CONCERN WHEN PULLING LARGE/HEAVY GOOSE NECK TRAILERS. FOR EXAMPLE PULLING MULTIPLE HORSES, LIVING QUARTERS, OR ON BOARD WATER TANK. THIS CONCERN OCCURS IN TOW/HAUL MODE, TYPICALLY BETWEEN 35-60 MPH (56-97 KM/H), AND REQUIRES AN INPUT FOR THE BUCK/JERK TO START. FOR EXAMPLE, THE BUCK/JERK MAY START AFTER A SHIFT EVENT, TORQUE CONVERTER LOCK UP, OR HITTING A BUMP IN THE ROAD SURFACE. ONCE THE BUCK/JERK STARTS, THE DRIVERS FOOT MAY NOT BE HELD STEADY ON THE PEDAL ASSEMBLY AND THE BUCK/JERK BECOMES WORSE. RELEASING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL COMPLETELY, OR GOING TO WIDE OPEN THROTTLE (WOT) TYPICALLY WILL STOP THE BUCK/JERK. THIS CONCERN DOES NOT OCCUR WHEN OPERATING THE VEHICLE IN CRUISE CONTROL. FOLLOW THE SERVICE PROCEDURE STEPS TO CORRECT THE CONDITION.

ok how do i get the tsb's and can i take them to the dealer even though the truck is not throwing any trouble codes. not even when it surges

Expert:  fordman312009 replied 5 years ago.
well you can get them better from them just write down the numbers and tell them you would like to look at the tsb and they shouldnt have a problem with that or i can get them but they will look funny because the way this paste them on there
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
what numbers do i write down? and what should i tell the service writer when i call to make an appointment?
Expert:  fordman312009 replied 5 years ago.
08-26-12 is the most common for surges and i wouldnt tell them nothing over the phone i would take it to them and then ask them if there going to perform that tsb and ask them if you could get a copy of it and theywill be shocked you know that and you can catch them off guard and to me the element of suprise is always good lol
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
and will this fix the problem for good or is this gonna be something that nis goona keep happinning?
Expert:  fordman312009 replied 5 years ago.
